The Word of Life
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our joy complete.
Bee's Thoughts:
Fellowship with God and fellow Christians are important aspects of a Christian life. Fellowship is the sharing of that "which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched"... it's a sharing of experiences, the testimonies of our faith in Christ. It's in such fellowship that our joy may be complete.
Dear Lord,
Let me have fellowship with You first of all, and help me to have fellowship with fellow believers. May our joy be complete in such fellowship.

Tommy's Thoughts:
Whenever I met with another Christian, there’s this certain kind of joy and happiness in my heart. It’s not the way I view them as a person, but more of a sense of connection, closeness, unity and hope we both share. I tend to feel more comfortable and open myself up more easily.
But, a true Christian fellowship is more than just a good and warm feeling. It has to be grounded in the testimony of God’s Word. It is also mutual, depending on the unity of believers. And, it is continually renewed daily through the Holy Spirit. True fellowship is both a social and spiritual interaction, made possible only through our living relationship with Christ.
Dear Lord, thank You for teaching me the importance of having fellowship with other believers. Guide me also to grow in my relationship with Christ and other believers through understanding the underlying principles behind true Christian fellowship. I pray all these in Jesus’ name, Amen.
